Indira Park

Indira Park is located in the centre of Hyderabad with an area spread across 76 acres of land which is near by Hussain Sagar on the lower Tank Bund road. The former president of India Late MR Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed laid the foundation stone of the Indira Park in the year 1975 September but was open to public in 1978.
It is one of the famous tourist attractions in Hyderabad, as the park is designed in an attractive and impressive way where the natural elements of the park like wild date palms, keuvda plantation, Sandal wood trees and fruit plants like mango, kalajamun etc. are not even touched.
Covering a large area with beautiful and luxuriant greenery, it provides a good picnic and hangout spot. Lot of people visit the park for morning walk to enjoy the nature. In the year 1994 the park is equipped with some additional features like Computerised Musical dancing fountain, water falls, commercial nursery and rose garden which would attract the visitors.
There is also Boating facility in the park which is the main attraction for visitors. The park is maintained by Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA) and has a revenue of 25 Lakhs per month. The other tourist attraction nearby this park is Katta Maisamma Temple. This temple is a famous site hosted by mother Goddess Maisamma.
